Micro Precision Products (a WIKA Group company) can now showcase another great achievement. The largest orifice plate ever manufactured in India, to date, was produced in Palwal. The order was placed by one of the largest EPC companies on the subcontinent. The mega orifice plate was finally commissioned in Bathinda in the state of Punjab (Northern India).<\/strong><\/p>\n

Precondition: Precision and know-how<\/h2>\n

The customer’s project schedule was tight. To meet this, the production of such 34-millimetre thick orifice plates, made of 316SS steel with a diameter of 2,690 millimetres, as well as machining, testing, inspection and shipping were accelerated. The shipping of the orifice plates was carried out with great care. As a bore of 1,275 millimetres had to be executed with an accuracy of \u00b1 0.4 millimetres, precision and great skill were required.<\/p>\n

Orifice plate manufactured with special approval<\/h2>\n

Despite the COVID-19-related lockdown, Micro Precision Products succeeded in the task. This was done with the help of a special permit from the authorities, among other things. The delivery schedule was met on time. As this was a prestige project for the customer, the company’s tests were of the highest standard. These were all met in full. Micro Precision Products’ special commitment was received with great appreciation by the customer and eventually was even expressed in their internal newsletter.<\/p>\n
