Des contraintes m\u00e9caniques, chimique et thermique ou encore le vieillissement, font que ces instruments peuvent d\u00e9river et donc ne plus garantir le bon niveau d&rsquo;exactitude des valeurs mesur\u00e9es dans le temps. C\u2019est la raison pour laquelle un \u00e9talonnage est requis, selon une p\u00e9riodicit\u00e9 d\u00e9finie, afin de d\u00e9terminer l&rsquo;alt\u00e9ration de cette valeur mesur\u00e9e.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Lors d&rsquo;un \u00e9talonnage, la mesure d&rsquo;un instrument est compar\u00e9e au r\u00e9sultat de mesure d&rsquo;un autre instrument connu et suffisamment pr\u00e9cis, qui a lui-m\u00eame \u00e9t\u00e9 raccord\u00e9 directement ou indirectement, avec \u00e9talon de r\u00e9f\u00e9rence national (ou international)<span style=\"font-size: 1rem\">. <\/span><\/p>\n<p>On parle donc d\u2019instruments \u00ab\u00a0tra\u00e7ables\u00a0\u00bb \u00e0 un \u00e9talon national ou international par la m\u00e9thode de comparaison. La hi\u00e9rarchie d&rsquo;\u00e9talonnage illustr\u00e9e dans l&rsquo;image repr\u00e9sente la tra\u00e7abilit\u00e9 d&rsquo;un \u00e9quipement de mesure dans une entreprise jusqu&rsquo;\u00e0 un \u00e9talon national au LNE (Laboratoire\u00a0 National de m\u00e9trologie et d\u2019Essais).<\/p>\n<p>Afin de garantir la tra\u00e7abilit\u00e9 dans la pratique, les points suivants doivent notamment \u00eatre respect\u00e9s :<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>La cha\u00eene de comparaison ne doit pas \u00eatre interrompue,<\/li>\n<li>L&rsquo;incertitude de mesure doit \u00eatre connue \u00e0 chaque \u00e9tape de la cha\u00eene d&rsquo;\u00e9talonnage afin que l&rsquo;incertitude de mesure totale puisse \u00eatre calcul\u00e9e. En r\u00e8gle g\u00e9n\u00e9rale, un instrument de mesure sup\u00e9rieur doit avoir une pr\u00e9cision de mesure trois \u00e0 quatre fois sup\u00e9rieure,<\/li>\n<li>Chaque \u00e9tape de la cha\u00eene d&rsquo;\u00e9talonnage doit \u00eatre document\u00e9e, y compris les r\u00e9sultats des mesures,<\/li>\n<li>Tous les organismes effectuant une \u00e9tape de la cha\u00eene doivent prouver leur comp\u00e9tence par le biais d&rsquo;une accr\u00e9ditation,<\/li>\n<li>Les \u00e9talonnages doivent \u00eatre r\u00e9p\u00e9t\u00e9s \u00e0 des intervalles r\u00e9guliers. This check can be carried out in the form of a factory calibration or a traceable calibration to ISO 17025. In both cases, the results of the calibration are documented in a calibration certificate and your measuring instrument, the calibration item, receives a calibration mark.\\n\\nThe difference: only a calibration to ISO 17025 guarantees traceability to the national standard. In accordance with the ranking order of the standards \\u2013 from the working standard or factory standard through the reference standard to the national standard \\u2013 there is a calibration hierarchy.
