Door de continue mechanische, chemische en thermische belasting verouderen deze instrumenten en kunnen daarom de juistheid van de gemeten waarde in de loop van de tijd niet garanderen. Door tijdige kalibratie kan echter de wijziging van de gemeten waarde worden bepaald en kan zo nodig een aanpassing worden uitgevoerd.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Bovendien schrijven de normen en richtlijnen voor dat de fabrikanten de inspectieapparatuur moeten kalibreren, wat een directe en indirecte invloed heeft op de kwaliteit. Dit is onder andere vastgelegd in de ISO 9001-norm. Voor een beter begrip worden de begrippen ijking en afstelling hieronder toegelicht.<\/p>\n<p>Kalibreren \u2018\u2019in de meettechniek betekent het bepalen van de meetafwijkingen in het volledige meetinstrument, zoals nulafstelling, meetbereik- en lineariteitinstelling, enz. Bij het aanduiden van meetinstrumenten bepaalt de kalibratie de meetafwijking tussen het display en wat als de juiste waarde van de te meten grootheid wordt geclaimd. Bij materiaalmetingen, bijvoorbeeld massa\u2019s, wordt de meetafwijking bepaald door het verschil tussen de markering en de juiste waarde te meten. Voor het meten van ketens bepaalt men de afwijking tussen de gemeten waarde van het uitgangssignaal en de waarde die dit signaal moet hebben met een ideale overdrachtkarakteristiek en een bepaalde ingangswaarde.<\/p>\n<p>\u2018\u2019Instelling\u2019\u2019 betekent het zo instellen of uitrichten van een meetinstrument (ook een materiaalmaat) dat de meetafwijkingen zo klein mogelijk worden gemaakt of dat de omvang van de meetafwijkingen de foutengrenzen niet overschrijdt. If the result of the examination is within the manufacturer's specifications, then a calibration certificate will be issued with the corresponding confirmation.\\n\\nOne talks about verification when the calibration has been carried out or supervised by an official body. Both of these variants are purely intended for determining the quality of the displayed values. No intervention to the measuring instrument itself is allowed.\\n\\nWith adjustment it is understood that there is an intervention to the measuring device, in order to minimise a detected measuring deviation. Typically, adjustment is followed by a further calibration, in order to check and document the final state of the measuring instrument following the intervention.\\n\\nIn contrast to verification, which will lose its validity after a period of time set by law, the validity period of a calibration is subject to practical specifications such as manufacturer's instructions, requirements of a quality assurance standard or in-house and customer-specific regulations.
