Entender o funcionamento de prote\u00e7\u00e3o contra raios e como os raios afetam as sondas de n\u00edvel \u00e9 importante para esclarecer esta quest\u00e3o.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Quando as sondas de n\u00edvel, ou sensores submers\u00edveis de press\u00e3o, foram instaladas em reservat\u00f3rios de \u00e1gua e lagos pela primeira vez para monitorar n\u00edvel, a sonda queimou ou foi destru\u00edda ap\u00f3s uma tempestade ou per\u00edodo de mal tempo. Isto resultou em muita pesquisa no efeito de tempestades sobre a instrumenta\u00e7\u00e3o em reservat\u00f3rios e os cabos de sinal da planta.<\/p>\n<h2>O verdadeiro significado de prote\u00e7\u00e3o contra raios<\/h2>\n<p>A primeira coisa para entender \u00e9 que o efeito de um raio \u00e9 consideravelmente diferente depende de proximidade o raio atinge o solo ou a instala\u00e7\u00e3o. \u00c9 f\u00e1cil dizer que nenhuma sonda de n\u00edvel sobreviver\u00e1 um contato direto ou muito pr\u00f3ximo de um raio, onde muitas vezes o pr\u00f3prio gabinete, incluindo todos eletr\u00f4nicos, tamb\u00e9m ser\u00e1 incinerado por este incidente direto.<br \/>\nEntretanto, raios que atingem com uma maior dist\u00e2ncia apenas aumentar\u00e3o a diferen\u00e7a de potencial, por exemplo, em 1.500 Volts. Devido \u00e0 caracter\u00edstica de curta dura\u00e7\u00e3o de pulso de tens\u00e3o, um componente pode ser embutido ou integrado ao sensor atuando em eleva\u00e7\u00f5es de potencial de tens\u00e3o.
