Para suportar picos de press\u00e3o em l\u00edquidos, um sensor de 300 bar poderia ser utilizado em um sistema de \u00e1gua dom\u00e9stica com 3 bar para suportar todos os extremos. Em contrapartida, isto pode resultar em grande incerteza de medi\u00e7\u00e3o.<\/p>\n<p>Visando minimizar este problema, hoje muitos fabricantes de sensores de press\u00e3o oferecem amortecedores de pulsa\u00e7\u00e3o que atuam como v\u00e1lvulas de sobrepress\u00e3o. Picos de press\u00e3o muito r\u00e1pidos que podem ocorrer com baixas velocidades de fechamento da v\u00e1lvula podem n\u00e3o ser interceptados devido \u00e0 in\u00e9rcia do sistema mec\u00e2nico do amortecedor de pulsa\u00e7\u00e3o.<\/p>\n<p>Outra maneira de proteger sensores de press\u00e3o e man\u00f4metros contra picos de press\u00e3o \u00e9 restringir o canal de press\u00e3o de acesso ao diafragma.
