O sensor de press\u00e3o converte o valor da press\u00e3o mec\u00e2nica em um sinal el\u00e9trico proporcional. O sensor de press\u00e3o normalmente consiste em um corpo principal est\u00e1vel e um diafragma. O diafragma \u00e9 o elemento mais importante para a medi\u00e7\u00e3o de press\u00e3o e \u00e9 equipado com estruturas de resist\u00eancia sensitiva \u00e0 tens\u00e3o e \u00e0 compress\u00e3o, tamb\u00e9m conhecidas como extens\u00f4metros ou strain-gauges (DMS).<\/p>\n<p>O diafragma deforma-se sob a influ\u00eancia de press\u00e3o. Assim, os extens\u00f4metros conectados a ele s\u00e3o estendidos ou comprimidos e sua resist\u00eancia varia de acordo com o movimento. Esta altera\u00e7\u00e3o de resist\u00eancia \u00e9 diretamente proporcional \u00e0 press\u00e3o.
