Para seguran\u00e7a e confiabilidade, os sensores e transmissores de press\u00e3o nesses ve\u00edculos devem ser capazes de resistir \u00e0 corros\u00e3o, vibra\u00e7\u00e3o e choque e permea\u00e7\u00e3o \/ fragiliza\u00e7\u00e3o por hidrog\u00eanio.<\/b><\/p>\n<p>Um crit\u00e9rio chave na escolha de um sistema de hidrog\u00eanio espec\u00edfico \u00e9 o espa\u00e7o dispon\u00edvel: quanto mais c\u00e9lulas de combust\u00edvel no ve\u00edculo, maior ser\u00e1 a autonomia. A press\u00e3o do tanque \u00e9 outro fator importante: quanto maior a press\u00e3o, mais hidrog\u00eanio o ve\u00edculo pode transportar e maior seu alcance. Uma press\u00e3o do tanque de 700 bar (~10.150 psi) \u00e9 padr\u00e3o para carros. Antigamente, a maioria dos \u00f4nibus, caminh\u00f5es e m\u00e1quinas m\u00f3veis tinha tanques com metade dessa press\u00e3o. Mas, atualmente, tudo isto est\u00e1 sendo repensado, e o padr\u00e3o de carro est\u00e1 cada vez mais sendo aplicado a caminh\u00f5es e \u00f4nibus para que possam rodar mais entre cada reabastecimento.<\/p>\n<p>Como o hidrog\u00eanio comprimido deve cair de mais de 5.000 ou 10.000 psi para a press\u00e3o atmosf\u00e9rica (~15 psi), os sensores de press\u00e3o desempenham um papel importante nos VECCs. Al\u00e9m disso, n\u00e3o basta que os sensores sejam certificados como adequados para hidrog\u00eanio; eles tamb\u00e9m devem ser desenvolvidos especificamente para uso em condi\u00e7\u00f5es operacionais dif\u00edceis: choque e vibra\u00e7\u00e3o, picos de press\u00e3o, umidade, temperaturas extremas e radia\u00e7\u00e3o eletromagn\u00e9tica. Por exemplo, as normas IEC 60068-2-27 e IEC 60068-6 descrevem os requisitos para resist\u00eancia a choque e vibra\u00e7\u00e3o, respectivamente. Em um futuro pr\u00f3ximo, a WIKA ampliar\u00e1 a faixa deste sensor de press\u00e3o para 900 bar (13.050 psi) para cumprir o requisito futuro de aumento da press\u00e3o do tanque em ve\u00edculos comerciais e industriais.<\/p>\n<p>O desvio do sinal \u00e9 um problema sempre que os sensores de press\u00e3o s\u00e3o utilizados em aplica\u00e7\u00f5es de hidrog\u00eanio. Isso ocorre porque os \u00e1tomos de hidrog\u00eanio se difundem at\u00e9 mesmo atrav\u00e9s dos a\u00e7os de alta qualidade, com press\u00e3o e temperatura suficientemente altas. Ao se recombinarem para formar H<sub>2<\/sub> nas partes sens\u00edveis de um sensor, a ponte de Wheatstone fica desequilibrada devido \u00e0 mudan\u00e7a nas resist\u00eancias individuais. O revestimento de ouro em um sensor faceado evita a permea\u00e7\u00e3o de hidrog\u00eanio e \u00e9, portanto, recomendado para aplica\u00e7\u00f5es de hidrog\u00eanio em alta temperatura, sejam fixas ou m\u00f3veis.
