The peer-nominated award is presented monthly to employees who go above and beyond in their roles, all while upholding WIKA\u2019s commitment to integrity, customer satisfaction, partnership, safety, continuous improvement, social responsibility, and excellence.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Established when WIKA was founded in 1946, the company core values are the standards by which WIKA measures itself and its employees. Thanks to employees\u2019 commitment to these values, WIKA has become a worldwide leader in industrial measurement technology. The company would not be where it is today without this dedication from within.<\/p>\n<p>Employees who do more than expected are vital to WIKA\u2019s overall mission of helping customers succeed through superior instrumentation solutions. This is why WIKA USA began the monthly Core Value Award program almost 20 years ago \u2013 to acknowledge employees for their hard work and dedication.<\/p>\n<h2>Company Core Values are Key to Success<\/h2>\n<p>A peer-nominated program, Core Value Awards give employees a special way to thank their colleagues for doing extraordinary work. Recipients are recognized for making a positive impact on WIKA USA\u2019s continued success. Each nominee is chosen for exemplifying one of seven company\u2019s core values:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Integrity:\u00a0<\/strong>Promoting ethical business practices<\/li>\n<li><strong>Customer Satisfaction:\u00a0<\/strong>Creating positive customer experiences<\/li>\n<li><strong>Partnership:\u00a0<\/strong>Encouraging collaboration in the workplace<\/li>\n<li><strong>Safety:\u00a0<\/strong>Maintaining a safe work environment<\/li>\n<li><strong>Continuous Improvement:\u00a0<\/strong>Improving WIKA policies and processes<\/li>\n<li><strong>Social Responsibility:\u00a0<\/strong>Improving the community and the world at large<\/li>\n<li><strong>Excellence:\u00a0<\/strong>Exceeding expectations in work that directly impacts company success<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Each month a committee composed of senior managers chooses the winners, who receive a plaque, monetary award, and a designated parking spot at the main WIKA USA campus in Lawrenceville, Georgia.<\/p>\n<h2>August 2018 Award Winners<\/h2>\n<p>The following WIKA USA employees were chosen for exemplifying a company core value.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Alexander (Lex) Moseley, Planner \u00a0| \u00a0<\/strong><strong>Recognized for Customer Satisfaction<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>When faced with a significant obstacle, Moseley found a way to keep a very important customer order on track. \u201cLex thought of an efficient way to help speed up the process. We worked together to update a brochure, and she was always patient, collaborative, flexible, and responsive,\u201d said nominator Jessica Woodside.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n      <div class=\"wp-caption alignright\" style=\"max-width:396px;\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/blog.wika.com\/us\/\/files\/2018\/09\/cv-ismael-castellanos_resized-388x218.jpg\" alt=\"Company core values\" \/><p class=\"wp-caption-text\">From left: Brent Shadix, Ismael Castellanos (winner), Erich Berninger, and Cathy Bochenek (nominator)<\/p><\/div>\n    \n<p><strong>Ismael Castellanos, Booster Technician \u00a0| \u00a0<\/strong><strong>Recognized for Partnership<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 1rem\">Castellanos demonstrated great partnership with his engaging work for a recent customer walkthrough. \u201cLast month, WIKA hosted several groups of Gwinnett County firefighters, paramedics, and EMTs for pre-planning meetings and facility walkthroughs. Ismael gave an excellent presentation\u2026 sharing the value and products WIKA provides to help them do their jobs safely. Ismael went above and beyond creating this special presentation,\u201d said nominator Cathy Bochenek.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Peer recognition is an outstanding achievement, and every winner and nominee deserves a round of applause for their contributions.
