The peer-nominated award is presented to employees who go above and beyond in their roles, all while upholding WIKA\u2019s commitment to integrity, customer satisfaction, partnership, safety, continuous improvement, social responsibility, and excellence.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Established when WIKA was founded in 1946, core values are the standards by which WIKA measures itself and its employees. Thanks to employees\u2019 commitment to these corporate values, WIKA has become a worldwide leader in industrial measurement technology. The company would not be where it is today without this dedication from within.<\/p>\n<p>Employees who do more than expected are vital to WIKA\u2019s overall mission of helping customers succeed through superior instrumentation solutions. This is why WIKA USA began the monthly Core Value Award program two decades ago \u2013 to acknowledge employees for their hard work and dedication.<\/p>\n<h2>Corporate Core Values are Keys to Company Success<\/h2>\n<p>A peer-nominated program, Core Value Awards give employees a special way to thank their colleagues for doing extraordinary work. Recipients are recognized for making a positive impact on WIKA\u2019s continued success. Each nominee is chosen for exemplifying one of seven core values:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Integrity:\u00a0<\/strong>Promoting ethical business practices<\/li>\n<li><strong>Customer Satisfaction:\u00a0<\/strong>Creating positive customer experiences<\/li>\n<li><strong>Partnership:\u00a0<\/strong>Encouraging collaboration in the workplace<\/li>\n<li><strong>Safety:\u00a0<\/strong>Maintaining a safe work environment<\/li>\n<li><strong>Continuous Improvement:\u00a0<\/strong>Improving WIKA policies and processes<\/li>\n<li><strong>Social Responsibility:\u00a0<\/strong>Improving the community and the world at large<\/li>\n<li><strong>Excellence:\u00a0<\/strong>Exceeding expectations in work that directly impacts company success<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Each month a committee composed of senior managers chooses the winners, who receive a plaque, monetary award, and a designated parking spot at the main WIKA USA campus in Lawrenceville, Georgia.<\/p>\n<h2>March 2020 Corporate Core Values Award Winners<\/h2>\n<p>The novel coronavirus may have reduced the number of people working on site, but it has certainly not dampened employees\u2019 commitment to WIKA USA\u2019s core values. It\u00a0<\/span><span>doesn\u2019t matter if it was pulling cells [workstations] further apart, installing partitions\/plexiglass dividers and door guards, instructing outside contractors, etc., they NEVER EVER showed any reluctance to take on a project. Furthermore, they did everything with a smile and\/or a joke, but always with seriousness and speed to help keep everybody healthy and safe.\u00a0Thank you both for your social responsibility and partnership to everyone at WIKA!<\/span><\/p>\n\n      <div class=\"wp-caption alignright\" style=\"max-width:308px;\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/blog.wika.com\/us\/\/files\/2020\/05\/hailemicael_eden-g00007521.jpg\" \/><p class=\"wp-caption-text\">Eden Hailemicael<\/p><\/div>\n    \n<p><strong><span>Eden Hailemicael<\/span>, Inside Sales, Pressure Gauge Division | Recognized for Excellence<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>In the past, WIKA has been a victim of scammers pretending to be bona fide customers. For this reason,\u00a0Steve McCullough gives Eden a big shoutout for her recent efforts in fraud prevention.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe recently received a purchase order from what appeared to be a valid company. Previously when we\u2019ve gotten POs that later turned out to be fake, we have\u00a0lost money shipping to fraudulent places where we couldn&#8217;t collect. However, Eden caught this one and prevented us from losing $35,000 worth of product.
