The peer-nominated award is presented to employees who go above and beyond in their roles, all while upholding WIKA\u2019s commitment to integrity, customer satisfaction, partnership, safety, continuous improvement, social responsibility, and excellence.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Established when WIKA was founded in 1946, core values are the standards by which WIKA measures itself and its employees. Thanks to employees\u2019 commitment to these corporate values, WIKA has become a worldwide leader in industrial measurement technology. The company would not be where it is today without this dedication from within.<\/p>\n<p>Employees who do more than expected are vital to WIKA\u2019s overall mission of helping customers succeed through superior instrumentation solutions. This is why WIKA USA began the Core Value Award program two decades ago \u2013 to acknowledge employees for their hard work and dedication.<\/p>\n<h2>Corporate Core Values are Keys to Company Success<\/h2>\n<p>A peer-nominated program, Core Value Awards give employees a special way to thank their colleagues for doing extraordinary work. Recipients are recognized for making a positive impact on WIKA\u2019s continued success. Each nominee is chosen for exemplifying one of seven core values:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Integrity:\u00a0<\/strong>Promoting ethical business practices<\/li>\n<li><strong>Customer Satisfaction:\u00a0<\/strong>Creating positive customer experiences<\/li>\n<li><strong>Partnership:\u00a0<\/strong>Encouraging collaboration in the workplace<\/li>\n<li><strong>Safety:\u00a0<\/strong>Maintaining a safe work environment<\/li>\n<li><strong>Continuous Improvement:\u00a0<\/strong>Improving WIKA policies and processes<\/li>\n<li><strong>Social Responsibility:\u00a0<\/strong>Improving the community and the world at large<\/li>\n<li><strong>Excellence:\u00a0<\/strong>Exceeding expectations in work that directly impacts company success<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>A committee composed of senior managers chooses the winners, who receive a plaque, monetary award, and a designated parking spot at the main WIKA USA campus in Lawrenceville, Georgia.<\/p>\n<h2>Corporate Core Values Award Winners: January 2021<\/h2>\n<p><span>WIKA USA recognizes the following five employees for exemplifying one or more of the company\u2019s core values in January.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><i>Photo above: Megan Brown and coworkers<\/i><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><strong>Megan Brown, Customer Care<\/strong><strong>\u00a0| Recognized for Excellence<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>John Pugh praises Megan\u2019s hard work and diligence. \u201cMegan constantly goes above and beyond in her role as an order entry specialist. She is always ready and willing to help get orders in and processed, and to assist in any way she can. With the recent change, even more work has been put on her, yet her work has not suffered one bit. She is now our only order entry person (we used to have three or more), but she is able to enter all of our orders in a timely manner. Megan is a tremendous help to all of us in customer service. In his nomination, Jeff Wood writes, \u201cThe last week of the year and the month of January are always the busiest times in Receiving. In a three-person department, one resigned and another was out sick. Thus, the burden fell largely on Dwayne\u2019s shoulders. Everything on the dock represented OTD (on-time delivery) for customers, supply chain for manufacturing, and expedites to all departments. With a determined and positive attitude, Dwayne dug in and made things happen. He also had a great attitude through what was a very high-pressure situation. Thank you, Dwayne, for your efforts and commitment!\u201d<br \/>\n<\/span><\/p>\n\n      <div class=\"wp-caption alignright\" style=\"max-width:358px;\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/blog.wika.com\/us\/\/files\/2021\/03\/lisa-thomas-core-value-jan-2021-2_resized-388x263.jpg\" \/><p class=\"wp-caption-text\">Lisa Thomas and coworkers<\/p><\/div>\n    \n<p class=\"p1\"><strong><span>Lisa Thomas<\/span>, <span>Manufacturing<\/span><\/strong><strong> | Recognized for Continuous Improvement<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><span>Pat Campbell commends Lisa for helping WIKA and her colleagues reach new heights. \u201c<\/span><span>Lisa has been a huge help in both implementing Production Logistics and recognizing improvement opportunities with the process for brass cells. She not only invests the time to understand the process, but also takes it upon herself to teach others when she sees training moments. Thank you, Lisa, for being such a great advocate of Continuous Improvement!\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong>Khoa Nguyen, Manufacturing | Recognized for Partnership<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Justin Durr commends Khoa for his expertise and valuable assistance. \u201cHe has gone out of his way to help the CNC (Computerized Numerical Control) team in the learning and operating of new machines and their programming. His efforts greatly increased productivity in the CNC area.\u201d We appreciate all that you do, Khoa!<\/p>\n<p><strong>Abriel \u201cAbby\u201d Vega, Inventory Management | Recognized for Excellence<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Andrew Campbell thanks Abby for all the extra work she put in around year end. \u201cAbby worked tirelessly through the holiday break to help solve the \u2018puzzle\u2019 that was the Pasadena (Texas) inventory. With the recent moves and site consolidations, we had several issues with the data associated with the locations on the inventory. It was no small undertaking to review and post the data for year end.
