Thanks to employees\u2019 commitment to these corporate values, WIKA has become a worldwide leader in industrial measurement technology. The company would not be where it is today without this dedication from within.<\/p>\n<p>Employees who do more than expected are vital to WIKA\u2019s overall mission of helping customers succeed through superior instrumentation solutions. This is why WIKA USA began the Core Value Award program two decades ago: to acknowledge employees for their hard work and dedication.<\/p>\n<h2>Corporate Core Values are Keys to Company Success<\/h2>\n<p>A peer-nominated program, Core Value Awards give employees a special way to thank their colleagues for doing extraordinary work. Recipients are recognized for making a positive impact on WIKA\u2019s continued success. Each nominee is chosen for exemplifying one of seven core values:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><b>Integrity:\u00a0<\/b>Promoting ethical business practices<\/li>\n<li><b>Customer Satisfaction:\u00a0<\/b>Creating positive customer experiences<\/li>\n<li><b>Partnership:\u00a0<\/b>Encouraging collaboration in the workplace<\/li>\n<li><b>Safety:\u00a0<\/b>Maintaining a safe work environment<\/li>\n<li><b>Continuous Improvement:\u00a0<\/b>Improving WIKA policies and processes<\/li>\n<li><b>Social Responsibility:\u00a0<\/b>Improving the community and the world at large<\/li>\n<li><b>Excellence:\u00a0<\/b>Exceeding expectations in work that directly impacts company success<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>A committee composed of senior managers chooses the winners, who receive a plaque, monetary award, and \u2013 for those in the main WIKA USA campus in Lawrenceville \u2013 a designated parking spot.<\/p>\n<h2>Corporate Core Values Award Winners: September 2022<\/h2>\n<p>WIKA USA recognizes the following five employees for exemplifying the company\u2019s core values in September.<\/p>\n<p><em>Photo above: Artaveous Purvis\u00a0and coworkers<\/em><\/p>\n<p><b>Artaveous Purvis, Dial Design | Lawrenceville | Recognized for\u00a0Partnership<\/b><\/p>\n<p>Ge Vang relates an incident when Artaveous came to the rescue. \u201cWe had some expedited orders to be printed on the pad printer, which requires acetone for setup and cleaning. However, the acetone drum was completely empty. Those drums weigh around 400 lbs, and for a small guy like myself, it is extremely difficult to move a full drum and then push it from one end of the building to the other. Artaveous knew this was no easy task for me, so he jumped up right away and offered to help so that we could get the orders out. I could not have done it without him. It\u2019s amazing to have such a team player as a colleague.\u201d Artaveous, thanks for your willingness to help out!\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><b>Nhi Pham, Purchasing | Lawrenceville | Recognized for\u00a0Partnership<\/b><\/p>\n\n      <div class=\"wp-caption alignright\" style=\"max-width:396px;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/blog.wika.com\/us\/\/files\/2022\/12\/nhi-pham_sep-2022-2.jpeg\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/blog.wika.com\/us\/\/files\/2022\/12\/nhi-pham_sep-2022-2-388x247.jpeg\" \/><\/a><p class=\"wp-caption-text\">Nhi Pham and coworkers<\/p><\/div>\n    \n<p>In his nomination, Joe Wrazen thanks Nhi for her initiative and collaborative spirit. \u201cThere was a small crisis with non-conforming screws and their impact on production. I was out of the office, and Nhi took the initiative to ensure that the supplier was immediately made aware of the issue and that production would not be shut down. With the assistance of Quality Assurance, Nhi gathered all the information she needed \u2013 with pictures and video \u2013 and communicated the problem while keeping QA in the loop the entire time. The end result was that QA was able to call the correct contact, and that contact showed up at WIKA the next day to inspect the parts. This all happened within 24 hours. It is great to know that the supply chain coordinators have our back. She traveled to our facility to work with our shipping person to fix those issues. She rolled up her sleeves, jumped right in, and was a tremendous help. They even said that they love working with Richard, and how they know that when he says something was going to happen, it was going to happen. This is the kind of customer support that helps us keep and grow our customer base.
