This division of WIKA USA was <a href=\"https:\/\/www.wika.com\/en-us\/pr_1124_en_us.WIKA\" rel=\"external\" target=\"_blank\">first certified<\/a> to <a href=\"https:\/\/as9100store.com\/aerospace-standards-explained\/what-is-as9100\/what-is-as9100-2016-revd\/\" rel=\"external\" target=\"_blank\">AS9100:2016 Rev D<\/a> (abbreviated to AS9100:2016 or AS9100D) in 2022, when it operated out of a facility just north of Columbus, Ohio. This certification is the mostly widely accepted standard for quality management systems (QMS) in aerospace, aeronautics, and defense.<\/p>\n<h2>AS9100 Recertification<\/h2>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400\">When Ohio-based WIKA Sensor Technology <a href=\"https:\/\/blog.wika.us\/wika-insight\/a-new-era-of-innovation-wika-sensor-technologys-grand-opening\/\" rel=\"external\" target=\"_blank\">moved to its current location<\/a> in Lewis Center, it was time to renew this certification. In mid-2023, senior managers began working with <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dqsglobal.com\/en-us\/certify\/a-9100-certification\" rel=\"external\" target=\"_blank\">DQS<\/a>, a global organization accredited by ANSI (American National Standards Institute) National Accreditation Board, to certify the new plant to the AS9100:2016 standard.
