WIKA India is considerably socially active. Both employees and the company benefit from this commitment. In January, the subsidiary inaugurated a nursery at the location in Pune, for example, to promote the compatibility of family and work.
The daycare centre can accommodate up to ten children under the age of six. The little ones are cared for by suitably qualified nurses from a local hospital while the parents go about their jobs at WIKA. They have plenty of space for playing and resting. A vibrant colour scheme and soft background music also create a pleasant environment that benefits the children’s development. Baby food and meals for the older children are prepared in its own kitchen.
With its latest initiative to support employees, the subsidiary has reaffirmed its position as preferred employer. The nursery is in line with the legal provisions that require companies with over 30 employees to offer such a service.
WIKA India donates for the health of women and girls
A donation by WIKA India supplied women and girls in Rajasthan with health and hygiene articles as well as first-aid boxes.
WIKA India is not only socially committed at its locations and thus to the communities to which they belong. The subsidiary supports the Prerna Foundation, a renowned NGO based in Jodhpur in the state of Rajasthan. This is done in collaboration with the Indian Institute of Technology Jodhpur (IITJ), which is also located in Jodhpur.
The latest donation for the Prerna Foundation is intended to help those in need noticeably, especially women and girls in this particular case. Besides a carefully compiled selection of articles for health and hygiene, it also includes first-aid boxes. With this donation, WIKA India follows its own corporate values. The subsidiary emphasises the importance of giving back something and fostering positive change. It will continue to participate in building a healthier society.
