AS9100 certification is a point of pride for WIKA Sensor Technology, which specializes in designing and manufacturing precision instruments for force and pressure measurement. This division of WIKA USA was first certified to AS9100:2016 Rev D (abbreviated to AS9100:2016 or AS9100D) in 2022, when it operated out of a facility just north of Columbus, Ohio. This certification is the mostly widely accepted standard for quality management systems (QMS) in aerospace, aeronautics, and defense.
AS9100 Recertification
When Ohio-based WIKA Sensor Technology moved to its current location in Lewis Center, it was time to renew this certification. In mid-2023, senior managers began working with DQS, a global organization accredited by ANSI (American National Standards Institute) National Accreditation Board, to certify the new plant to the AS9100:2016 standard. Achieved in October 2024, this renewal testifies that WIKA Sensor Technology once again meets or exceeds the aerospace industry’s QMS benchmarks with requirements that go above and beyond other certification standards.
