At the after-work party, team spirit pulsates beyond desks and machinery. Of course, it goes without saying that the event is organised by employees for employees. Even the DJ is a WIKA employee, and members of the board of directors serve drinks at the bar. “Simply fantastic! Excellent organisation! We’re proud to be part of the WIKA team!” There is great enthusiasm that encourages the organising team to come up with new ideas, for example setting up a photo box for funny (group) snapshots.
However, the ideas do not only benefit those who attend the party; a fundraising campaign on the occasion of the party supports the children’s and youth hospice in Miltenberg and the maternity ward in Lupanga in Tanzania.
Like the after-work party, the anniversary celebration strengthens the community spirit
The after-work party is still a recent example of the community at WIKA – unlike the anniversary celebration. It has long been a fixed spot in the event calendar. As a special thanks for the long-standing loyalty to the company, WIKA honours all employees with 10, 25 and 40 years of company affiliation in a celebratory setting every year. The evening does not only include a festive dinner but also a cultural performance, e.g. by the MainMusical ensemble.
At the anniversary celebration in 2023, life partners had been invited for the first time as well – another contribution to promoting a sense of community at WIKA.
By the way, former employees also remain part of the WIKA family. They are invited to the pensioner reunion every year.
