The Kujawiak Run is a major sporting event at WIKA Poland. Almost 1,000 runners took part in the 40th edition of this family event in Włocławek, a majority of them children. The subsidiary supported the run in a variety of ways and was even represented with its own stand.

The Kujawiak Run appeals to all age groups – with WIKA Poland even entering its own team into the race. Groups, families with children and also individual runners take to the course. Approximately 300 adults completed a ten-kilometre route through the forest. While more than 600 children, on the other hand, completed different distances depending on their age groups. However, performance is not all that matters. Above all, the run should be fun for the participants.

WIKA Poland provided a nurse for the Kujawiak Run

However, there was also fun and spirit off the track. For example, at WIKA Poland’s stand, “֨ambassadors” from the subsidiary organised painting activities for children and handed out WIKA biscuits. They also answered all interested parties’ questions about the company and provided general information about it. WIKA Poland also provided a nurse for the Kujawiak Run. She provided any medical care needed and also measured the blood pressure of all participants. But that’s not all i at the finish line, all runners received a commemorative medal with the WIKA logo.

Work-life integration: Compatibility of family and career

At the press conference before the competition, the subsidiary had the opportunity to present itself and emphasise that its team of more than 2,300 employees attaches great importance to the compatibility of work and family. As an important part of leisure time, WIKA can bring sport closer to people, which is why WIKA Poland happily supports local initiatives such as the Kujawiak Run.

Another successful sports initiative: the Kujawiak Run

The large number of participants, a great atmosphere and perfect weather made the 40th Kujawiak Run a successful experience again. WIKA Poland is pleased to be able to regularly sponsor such family events with outdoor activities.
