WIKA’s new plant in Saudi Arabia will create more than 100 new jobs.

WIKA has put into operation a new plant in Saudi Arabia, strengthening its commitment in the region. In February, Alexander Wiegand opened the factory in Dammam together with the employees, customers and business partners. The German ambassador was among the guests at the inauguration ceremony as well.

High-quality instrumentation solutions are manufactured at WIKA’s new plant in Saudi Arabia.

WIKA’s new plant in Saudi Arabia has started operations. After the inauguration ceremony, the guests informed themselves about the production process and the broad portfolio.

With the factory, WIKA is expanding its position as a local manufacturer. Fawaz Al-Sahan, manager of the Process Automation division at the oil company Saudi Aramco, stated during the ceremony that it is “the largest production facility for measurement technology in Saudi Arabia”. In future, products for measuring pressure, temperature, level and flow will be manufactured there on a total area of 3,000 square metres. This includes diaphragm seals, instrumentation valves and thermometer thermowells for connecting measuring instruments to critical processes.

Another focus is the implementation of IIoT solutions to support customers in the digitalisation of their processes. Additionally, the subsidiary is expanding the range of services.

“This ensures that customers are supplied with high-quality instrumentation solutions tailored to their specific needs,” underlined Alexander Wiegand at the inauguration ceremony. WIKA’s new plant in Saudi Arabia also involves the creation of more than 100 jobs over the next few years. German Ambassador Michael Kindsgrab emphasised that the investment in Dammam will further deepen the close relations between Germany and Saudi Arabia. He cited the new plant as an example of the opportunities for German companies in the country.

WIKA sees itself as a partner in Saudi Arabia’s economic development, especially on the way to expanding promising economic sectors alongside oil and gas. The group of companies has been present with sales subsidiaries in the Kingdom for over 20 years.

At the inauguration of the new plant in Saudi Arabia, German Ambassador Michael Kindsgrab also acknowledged WIKA’s commitment in the region.
